The order arrived quickly. It was fairly easy to assemble. It worked first time. And I've been using it ever since. It doesn't do soft fibrous things like the long thin leaves from the naturalizing lilies. It works great on leaves and twigs. It does produce good mulch. and... it reduces the volume of my green waste a lot! It's a good product. (p&b)

Worked ok out of the box on small brush but the blade quickly dulls and then its basically useless. Sharpening the blades is inconvenient and time consuming. Might be fine if all you want to do is mulch leaves. I bought this as an alternative to renting a bigger unit for a day but given how difficult and slow this machine is spending the money on a rental probably makes more sense.

This is the answer to all my garbage pails full of garden clippings. My plants grow like weeds and I would have to put out 6-7 barrels of garden debris for the recycle pickup. Now I just chip them down and put the debris in my garden. It's a win win for me. My plants are just the right size for this chipper.

I did my research on this chipper shredder and although a couple of reviews said that there were problems - well, that happens with anything.

The shipping was free - that was a plus.

When I received the chipper, putting it together was a chore. Then when I started it up, it ran for 10 minutes and quit.

I checked it for a clog but nothing there. Pushed reset and all it would do is hum.

So, I waited for about 20 minutes and tried the reset again - still just the hum.

At that point, I called the number for warranty service and they gave me two places in my town. Loaded it up took it, and guess what? They don't service electric just gas and no one else in town does it either. Called back the warranty number and they gave me another number whom they said was the distributor. Tried that and the automated response was that there was a 20 minute wait, so I hung up.

Now, after all of this, I can take this item apart, pack it for shipping, and pay almost $60 to return it. And, in exchange I got a lot of wasted time, frustration, and the run-around and paid $60 dollars for it.

Do not buy this item....It wouldn't let me give this item zero stars, so that is why it is a one.

I love this chipper , Its great for the price, just take your time with it and don't force it and it should last you a lifetime.
