Habanero and Thai chilies can go as high as 60,000. Compare that to the sweet bell pepper at zero. When hot peppers are consumed, capsaicinoids bind with pain receptors in the mouth and throat that are responsible for sensing heat. Once activated by the capsaicinoids, these receptors send a message to the brain that the person has consumed something hot. The brain responds to the burning sensation by raising the heart rate, increasing perspiration and release of endorphins. Hot peppers should be eaten with caution! Peruvian White Lightning Habanero Pepper: The White Habanero is a brand new, lovely variety of the Habanero that is hard to come by and said to originate in Peru. Small bushy pepper plants produce very high yields of fiery hot chile peppers of a lantern shape with a creamy-white colored skin. The beautiful chiles are approximately 2 inches long by 3/4 of an inch in diamater. These beautiful, rare white chiles are extremely hot and have been rated at over 300,000 Scoville Units which is about ten times hotter than a standard Jalapeno Pepper. If you like a searing hot chile, Can be used fresh, but makes wonderful, fiery dried chile powder or ultra hot white hot sauce! White Habaneros are ideal for growing in containers and due to their beauty are also a wonderful ornamental chile for use in edible landscapes!. Matures in 85 to 90 days. Rare. | | | |

Never grew Jul 18, 2010 I planted these seeds as instructed.....they never grew. Some did sprout, only to wilt and die even after careful tending (not to mention praying).
white lightning Jun 27, 2010 The viability of these seeds are hard to rate due to the variables of germination. The handling and shipping charged were too high.
None of these seeds sprouted. May 11, 2010 I bought these seeds online and my other hot pepper seeds locally. All of my other hot pepper seeds sprouted, but not these. I gave them about a month and a half before throwing them away. My mistake purchasing these online. I will try again next year, but I will trade with other hot pepper growers if I decide to go the online route again.
Great! May 03, 2010 The seeds came very fast and I planted them right away, just 3 of them anyway. I'm saving the rest for later. The took after a week and are doing very well.

90% SPROUTED Sep 01, 2009 Planted them about 7 weeks ago. They're about 4" tall now. The ghost habeneros I planted never came to life. These show great promise, but I don't know what I'll do with them when they fruit. Will they work as an insect repellent if I dilute them in water and spray other plants? I'm certain they will be effective at repelling mosquitos and Jehovah Witnesses.
